How do I ...

How do I use the library services

Borrow from an I-Share Library

USML is a member of I-Share, a state-wide network of over 80 libraries. Begin searching for an item in USML's local catalog. If the USML Library does not have the item, you can modify your search to look within I-Share libraries. Simply select "All I-Share Libraries" and click "find."

Once you have located the item, select Request 1st Available. If you are not already logged into your USML Library account, you will be prompted to do so. Materials arrive within 2-3 business days. You will receive an email notification upon arrival to pick up your at the circulation desk in Feehan Memorial Library.

Note: Due to licensing restrictions, eBooks and eJournals cannot be borrowed from an I-Share Library.

Borrow through InterLIbrary Loan (ILL)

InterLibrary Loans: this service is only available to USML faculty and students. ILL materials take a minimum of 5 business days to arrive.

Books & Journals: If an item is not available at USML's library or through I-Share, the library staff can assist you in requesting the item through InterLibrary Loan. If an article is not available through USML's print or online journal collection, the library staff can assist you in requesting the article through InterLibrary Loan.

Email your request to RequestILL@usml.edu. Be sure to include the title of the material, author, and publicaiton information.
